One Year Anniversary

admin

Bloomsbury curtains and blinds is about to celebrate its 1st year.  It has been an amazing year for me as I’ve never had my own business before. I have now made my workshop full of tools and special equipment to specialise in every type of sewing and intricate work for my clients. I’ve made loads of curtain samples for my clients to see when we are designing their windows.

My working relationship with Fibre Naturelle, my fabric supplier, has grown loads. They even send more samples to help me with events. They always send me the perfect fabrics and have made me feel part of their fabric family.

I’ve loved showing my work on Facebook and Instagram.  My clients love having their windows on my page. We have done some amazing designs together.

In July I did my first ever event, it was at Nottingham race course.  Jaguar fairs are the host and when I contacted them to join their antique and vintage fair, they said that they had never had a curtain maker have a stand. However, they said that my skills and knowledge are so needed as many people think that they have to buy ready made curtains. They have loved having me.

I have had the most amazing feedback from the public.  They thought they were looking at antiques and collectibles and went home with my details knowing that when they had decorated, they could contact me to make their dream curtains or blinds.

I had lots of enquires from that event and had the pleasure of making beautiful curtains.  I even made a door curtain with a matching cushion for the hallway.  My client was so pleased with it and I have had some brilliant reviews on my Facebook page from clients from the event.

This event gave me so much public awareness of my business that I did another one this weekend 27/28th October.  It was a Jaguar fairs event again and was at the Nottingham race course.  This time it was so much busier than the last one.

I have again had lots of positive feedback from the public saying that they couldn’t find a good curtain maker in their area. I feel I have made a lot of people happy that they can get their new curtains and blinds ready for the festive period.

I will be doing another event soon, so keep a look out on my Facebook page for the next date.  I take all my fabrics and samples with me and I have photo album’s so that you can see my work.

I’ll look forward to seeing you soon
